Out of the Box

SIFTO is a modular plansifter platform with 1 to 8 sieve stacks. Thin sheet metal sieves with hexagonal openings replace conventional mesh sieves, achieving unmatched precision in separation. All product-contacting components are made of stainless steel. By eliminating adhesives and sealing materials, SIFTO ensures the highest hygiene standards and minimizes the risk of product contamination. The two-part sieve stack with a tool-free tensioning system simplifies access and reduces maintenance. Its modular and dismountable design enables next generation milling concepts and seamless retrofitting of existing plants.
Adaptability at the Highest Level

SIFTO’s modularity ensures plants can be designed effectively. Plansifter compartments with different operating requirements can be configured individually without significantly affecting setup, operation, or maintenance of a mill. The platform’s adjustable number of sieve stacks and sieves per stack ensures compatibility with specific process requirements and spatial constraints. The flyweights can be optimally adjusted to the respective passages, and the energy-efficient servo drive allows variable speed settings during operation.

Adaptability at the Highest Level
Reduced to the Maximum

SIFTO features self-centering, stackable sieve frames secured by a robust tensioning mechanism. Each sieve stack half accommodates 4 to 15 sieve trays. The housing-free design allows for adjustable stack heights, enabling up to four tray height variations within a single plansifter.

Thoughtfully designed interfaces address common challenges of traditional sieve stacks, such as eliminating the need for felt or other sealing materials. Product guidance and thermal insulation are fully integrated into the sieve frames.

Precision and Performance

SIFTO’s optimized sieve design, featuring hexagonal openings, ensures exceptional separation performance. The etched SWISCA sieve openings are manufactured with an accuracy of ±2 µm, far surpassing conventional mesh sieves in precision. In addition, the stainless-steel sieves are highly wear-resistant, retaining their shape and size throughout their lifespan while remaining unaffected by temperature fluctuations.

High throughput is achieved through large cross-sections above and below the sieves. Optional intermediate frames enhance the volume above the sieves, while the refined construction ensures increased cross-sectional capacity below.

Precision and Performance
Food Safe and Easy to Maintain

SIFTO prioritizes food safety by exclusively using stainless steel for all product-contacting components and eliminating adhesives and sealing materials within the product area. The absence of a housing is a groundbreaking feature in the milling industry, significantly reducing the risk of insect infestation.

Cleaning is remarkably straightforward: the tool-free tensioning system allows users to relax the entire sieve stack with a single movement. The two-part design ensures quick access to both the upper and lower sieve stacks.

Food Safe and Easy to Maintain
Built to Last

SIFTO sets a new standard for durability, surpassing conventional plansifters. The thin sheet metal sieves are more robust and abrasion-resistant than nylon mesh. By removing felt seals and additional sealing materials, the system not only improves hygiene but also extends service life.

High-efficiency synchronous motors drive the flyweights directly – eliminating the need for a belt. Maintenance-free roller bearings and proven components ensure durability, while the optimized force flow prevents material fatigue.
