Processes that Deliver

Even the most advanced products only reach their full potential when applied optimally in the process. We combine solutions, technological expertise, and a hands-on mentality to ensure your plant runs reliably at peak performance.

Process Planning

Based on the raw materials and the desired end products, we develop process flowsheets, size the machinery, and precisely align their performance. This includes calculations for drive and pneumatic systems as well as aspiration volumes to ensure efficient operation.
Our process planning not only addresses immediate requirements and short-term needs but also considers potential future expansions or adjustments – resulting in flexible, scalable, and sustainable plant solutions.

Commissioning & Training

SWISCA milling technologists professionally commission new, modernized, or retrofitted flour milling machines and complete mill systems. From precise roll-gap adjustments and sifter configurations to the optimization of aspiration and pneumatic transport systems, we ensure the reliable achievement of target extraction rates, flour quality, and production capacity.
We provide hands-on training for millers, operators, and maintenance teams, covering machine setup, process control, and systematic troubleshooting. Our goal is to enable stable mill performance, high energy efficiency, food safety compliance, and long-term operational reliability.

Laboratory Services

At our laboratory mill, we conduct small-scale milling trials to determine key product parameters and assess the feasibility of scaling processes to full industrial production. Using established laboratory milling and sifting technology, along with advanced measurement tools such as the Camsizer, we analyze particle size distributions to gain deeper insights into existing processes and identify optimization opportunities.
As part of our annual laboratory milling program for Swissgranum, we evaluate the characteristics of different wheat varieties to establish essential quality criteria. We also assist customers in defining optimal blending ratios, ensuring that the desired end-product quality is consistently achieved.
